Nerd Nite Miami is back Thurs, May 8th at Gramps.

Nerd Nite is an evening of entertaining and educational presentations. Speakers present for 15 minutes, followed by a brief Q&A with the audience. Doors at 6. Presentations begin promptly at 7pm. We’ll do a few rounds of trivia in-between the presentations.

PRESENTATION #1: 

“Coral reefs in South Florida” by Trina Rosing

Trina is a marine biologist and lab manager at University of Miami. She has a Master’s in Marine Conservation and is working on another degree in Oceanography. Her background is in coral ecology and conservation. 

PRESENTATION #2: 

“Far UV-C, Magical light that could end airborne disease” by Zoheb Anjum

Zoheb is a biosecurity educator, the community organizer for Effective Altruism Miami, and a nerd trying to make the world a better place. Ask him about how AI could change the life sciences, math, or DND.
